Meet Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren and I’m running for Tennessee’s 16th State House district. What does any of that mean to you? For starters, it means that someone who genuinely cares about their constituents will be dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone they represent. I am an individual who wants the best for my community and is willing to run for office to do what it takes. I'm not your typical politician, nor do I aspire to be one. Instead, I'm driven by an ambitious motivation to bring positive change to our district.

My journey is one rooted in common experiences – I'm a proud Knoxville native, having attended Central High School and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Growing up, both my parents worked tirelessly to provide for my brother and me, and watching them taught me the true meaning of hard work and sacrifice. My mom even led my Girl Scout troop, eventually working with me to earn my Bronze and Silver Awards.

My academic pursuits led me to study Food Science and Plant Science, culminating in a degree in Plant Sciences. I now work at UT Gardens where I'm surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of our vibrant community. At home, I live with my wife and our four-legged kids. We spend most of our time together gardening and working on home improvement projects. You can find us in attendance at the Farmer’s Market, Pride Events, and the Powell Fourth of July Parade to name a few.

What matters most is my unwavering dedication to making our community inclusive and welcoming for everyone. I believe in accessible representation that listens to your concerns, advocates for your needs, and works tirelessly to bring about positive change. I'm not just asking for your vote — I'm asking for your partnership in building a brighter future for all of us. Together, let's make our district a place where everyone feels valued and empowered. Thank you for considering me as your voice in the State Legislature.
